How to Change Your Voicemail Greeting

To set up or modify your desk phone voicemail greeting.

Step-by-step guide

AVAYA/Nortel

1. Dial your phone number, when you hear your greeting dial 81 or hit "Msg/inbox" from work phone.

2. When prompted for "MAILBOX" press # key if you are checking messages from your phone or dialed into your own phone, alternatively use 5 digit extension followed by # key.

3. Enter your password followed by the # key.

4. To listen to your messages, press 2

5. to Delete a message, press 76

Polycom

1. Use your existing extension and dial *97

2. you will be asked for your password

3. When the Voicemail system starts, press 0

4. You will then be given the choice of type of message you want to record.

5. Choose the appropriate message you want to record.

6. Record your message. Example. "Thank you for calling, I am ether busy elsewhere or on the phone. Please leave me your message and I will call you back as soon as I can".

7. Review your message.

8. Re-record if necessary or if you are happy with the message, chose the option to save.
