How to Activate Microsoft Office

When using a computer for the first time you may need to Activate Microsoft Office License which includes all popular programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Step-by-step guide

  1. When starting Office product, you may get a similar popup stating that Office is not activated/or deactivated

  2. Click on "Sign In" button to add a license to your computer. (Do not click Enter Key)

  3. If the system asks which account to sign in with, please use your nycourts.gov email account with your regular password.

  4. The Office product should become activated.

  5. If you find that your Office is still not active, please close all office applications before opening them again.



All Office activation's are done using your user name, please be mindful when activating Office for other users, you are limited to amount of activation's you are allowed.
