Getting Started with DocuSign
DocuSign can be used to get digital signatures on documents. CCI has an organizational account. All documents signed with DocuSign are backed up to OneDrive in addition to being emailed to you after signing.
Put in a ticket to request an account
If you would like to get a DocuSign account, please put in a ticket to kick off the process. We generally provision and train an entire team as a whole. In the ticket, please include:
The name of your team
The names of team members who should have access and who should be trained
Any forms you already have that you would like us to help you set up in DocuSign
Already have an account? Log in at docusign.com
The email associated with the account is probably your nycourts.gov email address.
If you can’t remember your password, click Forgot password.
If you can’t log in, please put in a ticket and we will check your account.
Tip! Bookmark your shared templates folder
Once you log in, choose Templates, then choose your team’s folder under Shared Folders on the lower left. Bookmark this page to save time in the future.
Send a document to be signed
You can also watch a video from DocuSign on how to send a template.
Locate the template you want to send in the listing, then click the blue Use button on the right.
On the next page, enter the name and email address of the person or people who should sign the form. You can also optionally enter a message and/or change the email subject line.
You have the option to change some form values by clicking Advanced Edit. This will change the form for these recipients only - it won’t change the template for other signers.
However, most of the time, just click Send.
Create a new template
Uploading a Word or PDF form to use in DocuSign is called creating a template.
Read DocuSign’s instructions on the process.
After you create the template, be sure to share it with your team’s folder, so that everyone on your team can access.

When to use PowerForms
PowerForms let signers go to a web page to enter their own information rather than you needing to individually send every person their own form. A great example is the Cell Phone Reimbursement Form provided by CCI Fiscal.
PowerForms work best when you have a simple form that you need a lot of people to sign, like a media release form for a big event.
Individual sending works better for more complicated forms, especially forms where you want to pre-fill information for the signers.
To create a PowerForm, you need to start with an existing template, so follow the instructions on creating a template first, then create the PowerForm.
If you run into any issues, please put in a ticket.
