The following guide outlines the steps staff should perform on their desktops or laptops when they return to the office after an extended period of time away from the office.

Laptop Users Only

  1. When you arrive at your desk, connect the USB-C cable to your laptop. This will allow the laptop to connect to the larger, external monitor and connect your laptop to the internal network

Restart and Login

  1. Once you are at your desktop or have docked your laptop, you should restart your computer first

2. After restarting and pressing the CTRL+ALT+DELETE keys, you should see your name at the log in screen. Enter your nycourts.gov Outlook password and log in.

a. If you see CCI Admin or another person’s name, click on Other User in the bottom left corner

b. Enter the first part of your nycourts.gov email address. e.g. DSmith@nycourts.gov and the password for your nycourts.gov account

Verify Network Access

  1. Once you are logged in, you should see a small monitor icon on the bottom left side of your screen. Click on the monitor icon. It should say ucs.courtnet.org and have Connected written under it

If you do not see this or see a Globe icon, this means your computer does not have access to the network. You should restart your computer and check again. If you have a laptop, disconnect and reconnect the USB-C connecter and then restart.

If you still do not have connectivity after restarting and reconnecting the cables, please submit a ticket at https://courtinnovation.org/support

2. Open your Outlook application and verify it says Connected to: Microsoft Exchange

3. Open your File Explorer, click on This PC on the left side and verify you can see if you have access to your Shared Network Drives

%logonserver%\netlogon\Login\CCI\Map Network Drives.vbs

If you are missing access to a Shared Network Drive, type Run in the Search bar, open the Run app, type or paste in the following string in the Open field and click OK

%logonserver%\netlogon\Login\CCI\Map Network Drives.LNK

You should see a black window come up with lines of text. This is a script that will run and map any drive you have access to.

Printer Access

If you were able to follow the steps above and had no issues, your printers should map automatically. To verify, you can type in printer in your search bar and open the Printers & scanners app.

Printer use the following naming scheme
